Job Opportunity: Travel Medical Technologist

Location: Key West, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Position Details

Specialty: Medical Technologist (MLS ASCP)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Start Date: ASAP

Requirements

Must have a valid Florida Medical Technologist license at time of submission
ASCP Generalist certification required
Blood bank experience required
Bachelor's degree required
Certified Medical Technologist credential required
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in medical technology
Limited experience and judgment expected to plan and accomplish goals
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Job Description

Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of diseases
Follow standardized procedures and prepare samples for testing
Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits
Perform a variety of tasks with limited creativity and latitude
Typically reports to a manager or supervisor

Additional Notes

Facility will consider Medical Lab Technicians for this role, but with different pay rates
AHCA certification required for Florida placements
Must have secured housing at time of acceptance
