Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU
Location: Tucson, AZ
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: January 12, 2026
Shift: 4x10s | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical patients. This role works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical teams, and ancillary staff, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the Arizona Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies and procedures.
The RN demonstrates strong critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and leadership skills to anticipate patient needs and ensure the safe delivery of care. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care appropriately based on staff skill level, and providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia patient care

Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and anesthesia teams

Anticipate, plan, and implement safe, effective patient care

Delegate and supervise patient care activities appropriately

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Schedule & Call

Shift: 4x10-hour shifts (6:30a–5:00p)

On-Call: 10–12 days of call per 6-week scheduling period

Floating: Required, if needed
Requirements

Active Arizona RN License
-
BLS certification (required)

Minimum 2 years of PACU experience

Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills
