Schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Hours: 36–40 hours/week
Unit: Medical/Surgical / Step-Down (21-bed unit)

Position Overview

HumanEdge Health is seeking a Travel Med-Surg RN to provide care in a combined Med-Surg and Step-Down unit. This role requires flexibility to float occasionally to critical care with low-acuity patients. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing patients across Med-Surg and step-down acuity levels.

Unit Details

• Beds: 21

• Patient Ratios: 1:4–6 depending on acuity

• Mix of Med-Surg and Step-Down patients per shift

• EMR: MedHost

• Required Holidays: 1 major holiday and 1 seasonal holiday

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered care for Med-Surg and Step-Down patients

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered

• Perform assessments and monitor patient condition

• Float to low-acuity critical care areas as needed

• Document patient care accurately in MedHost EMR

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience

• Preferred: 1 year of PCU/Step-Down and Med-Surg experience

• ACLS Certification required

• BLS Certification required

• NIHSS Certification required

• Ability to manage mixed acuity levels safely and efficiently
