Travel LPN – Pediatric Bio Behavioral Health Unit

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a travel assignment in a Pediatric Bio Behavioral Health Unit in Syracuse, NY.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Syracuse, NY

• Start Date: 01/30/2026

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

• Schedule: Every other weekend and some holidays required

Position Overview:
This role supports pediatric patients in a behavioral health setting. Pediatric experience is preferred; psychiatric experience is required. The LPN will provide direct patient care, support clinical operations, and assist providers in delivering safe, effective care.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State LPN license

• CPR certification (or ability to obtain/re-certify)

• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required

• Prior inpatient experience preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• EMR experience strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient care functions with minimal supervision

• Greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist during exams

• Take and record vital signs and patient progress

• Set up trays for injections and assist with procedures

• Administer injections and assist with clinical procedures as assigned

• Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas

• Assist with scheduling, filing, chart preparation, and general office duties

• Coordinate authorizations with insurance companies and referrals with physicians

• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record

• Observe and report patient responses to treatments

• Participate in unit operations and nursing care activities under RN direction
