HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Port Orchard, Washington. This opportunity is in a skilled nursing facility and inpatient/outpatient rehab setting, offering a collaborative team environment focused on patient-centered care and functional independence.

Assignment Details
Location: Port Orchard, WA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8s)
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) & Rehab

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Assist patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery to improve independence in activities of daily living

• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional mobility, self-care, strength, and safety

• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment use

• Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses to therapy

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, PT, SLP, and case management

Requirements

• Active Washington Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• Minimum of one (1) year of COTA experience; SNF or rehab setting preferred

• Current BLS Certification (AHA)

• Strong communication, time management, and patient engagement skills
