Travel Surgical Technologist (Operating Room – Adult)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: February 20, 2026
Shift: Days and Evenings (with varied start times)
Schedule: Primarily 5 x 8-hour shifts, with some 12-hour shifts mixed in
Position Overview
HumanEdge Health is seeking experienced Travel Surgical Technologists for the Adult Operating Room at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital. This role is ideal for seasoned OR techs comfortable scrubbing a wide variety of complex adult cases.
Shift Details
Shifts will include a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, which may include:

Responsibilities
-
Scrub for adult surgical procedures in a fast-paced OR environment
-
Prepare operating rooms and ensure case readiness

Maintain sterile technique and adhere to OR protocols

Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures

Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia, and OR staff
-
Support trauma and emergent cases as required
Required Qualifications
-
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
-
Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience (within the last 4 years)

Experience must be in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or equivalent teaching hospital

Scrub experience required
-
Broad experience across general and specialty surgery
-
First Assist not permitted in New York State
-
First-time travelers considered only if experienced in hospitals of similar size and acuity

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
