Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Hartford, CT
Assignment Length: 12 Weeks
Start Date: 02/23/2026
Shift: Days with rotation to evenings/nights
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
On Call: Required
Facility Overview:
Level I Trauma Center – Main Operating Room
Position Overview:
The OR RN supports a high-volume Main OR at a Level I Trauma hospital. This role requires strong clinical skills across multiple surgical specialties and flexibility to rotate into evenings, nights, and on-call coverage as needed.
Shift Details:

Primary schedule: Day shift

Rotating shifts may include:

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

11:00 AM – 11:30 PM

3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts as needed
Call Requirements:

Weekday overnight call rotation required
-
Every other weekend / every other holiday (call and/or shifts)
Responsibilities:
-
Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties

Scrub and circulate as needed in a Level I Trauma environment

Respond to emergency and trauma cases
-
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team members
-
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with OR protocols
Qualifications:
-
Active RN license
-
Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience
-
Experience in a Level I Trauma or high-acuity OR setting required
-
Ability to work across multiple surgical specialties
-
Strong flexibility with shift rotations and call
