Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Boston, MA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 03/02/2026
Shift: Days
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Up to 2 weekends/month (call or shift coverage)
On Call: Yes – 30-minute response time; short call shift once per week (3:00 AM – 7:00 AM or 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Holidays: Eligible to work while on contract
Unit Overview:

OR West consists of 10 operating rooms

Level I Trauma inpatient surgical center

High-acuity, multi-specialty surgical care including neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma, transplants, robotics, ENT, GYN, urology, organ procurement, spine, bariatric, major plastic reconstruction
Position Overview:
The OR RN provides perioperative nursing care for a wide variety of complex surgical patients. This role requires experience across neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant procedures, with flexibility for call coverage, floating, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:

Scrub and/or circulate in multiple surgical specialties:
-
General Surgery, Robotics, Transplants, Ortho, Neuro, Spine, ENT (primarily head & neck)

GYN, Urology, Organ Procurement, Trauma

Provide safe, high-quality perioperative care for inpatient Level I Trauma and complex surgical cases

Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and anesthesia teams

Maintain sterile technique, patient safety, and accurate documentation
Qualifications:
-
Active Massachusetts RN license required
-
OR experience required with exposure to Neuro, Ortho Trauma, and Kidney Transplant

Ability to work day shifts, floating, call shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Scrub and/or circulating competency across multiple surgical specialties
