Travel Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry / Cardiology)
Location: Boston, MA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 03/02/2026
Shift: 12-Hour Rotating (Days/Nights)
Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM / 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other Friday night or every third Saturday
Hospital Hours: Open 24 hours Mon–Sat, closes 3:00 PM Saturday, closed on hospital-observed holidays
Facility / Unit Overview:

Cardiac Direct Access Unit (CDAc) provides moderate-intensity cardiovascular care

Patient population: cardiac evaluation & monitoring, cardiology post-procedure, heart failure patients

Hybrid unit with ambulatory section offering same-day outpatient cardiology assessments and general cardiology ambulatory care

Patient care area includes six cardiac observation beds and one infusion room
Position Overview:
The Telemetry RN provides highly coordinated care for cardiovascular patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role requires strong telemetry experience, with cardiology experience highly recommended. Nurses work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical colleagues to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, including post-procedure and heart failure cases

Administer medications and treatments per protocol

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for patient care planning

Maintain accurate documentation and participate in unit quality initiatives

Provide patient education and support for cardiovascular conditions
Qualifications:

Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission

Strong telemetry experience required

Cardiology experience preferred
