Travel Registered Nurse – PACU
Location: Massachusetts
Assignment Length: 8 Weeks
Start Date: 03/02/2026
Shift: Days
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Call Requirement:

• Weekday call: once per week

• Weekend call: approximately one weekend every 6–8 weeks (Sat/Sun)

• 30-minute response time

Facility Overview:

• 73-bed community hospital

• PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) for a variety of surgical cases

Position Overview:
The PACU RN provides post-operative nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role requires strong PACU experience, clinical judgment, and the ability to manage post-surgical patients safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess post-operative patients for complications or adverse reactions

• Administer medications and manage pain control per protocol

• Maintain airway, hemodynamic, and neurological stability

• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient recovery

• Document patient care accurately in the medical record

• Respond to patient emergencies and escalations as needed

• Participate in call coverage per schedule

Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN license required

• Minimum of 2 years PACU experience

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and post-anesthesia management skills

• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts with occasional call coverage
