HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care Behavioral Health setting.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Mount Vernon, NY

• Start Date: 3/16/2026

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift: Days

• Shift Length: 8 hours

• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week (40 scheduled hours with 30-minute unpaid meal breaks)

• Care Setting: Acute Care – Behavioral Health

• Charting System: EPIC

Requirements:

• Active LMSW license (required at time of submission)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health or acute care social work

• BLS certification required

• Flu vaccine required – no exemptions permitted

Role Overview:
The Behavioral Health Licensed Social Worker assesses patients’ psychosocial needs at admission and throughout hospitalization. In collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, the LMSW develops and implements individualized treatment and aftercare plans. The social worker serves as the primary therapist for assigned patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely psychosocial assessments and ongoing evaluations

• Develop, implement, and revise treatment and discharge plans

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding social and emotional factors impacting care

• Coordinate discharge planning and community resource referrals

• Advocate for patients with outside agencies and healthcare facilities

• Document all aspects of care within required timeframes

• Maintain professional standards, clinical competency, and ethical practice

• Participate in meetings, community outreach, and special projects as requested
