Description

Travel Registered Nurse – Psychiatric (Inpatient Behavioral Health)
Location: Manchester, CT
Assignment Length: 12 Weeks
Start Date: 03/09/2026
Shift: Nights (NOC)
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts
Shift Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
On Call: None

Position Overview:
The Psychiatric RN provides direct patient care in an acute inpatient behavioral health setting, supporting patients with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. This role requires strong assessment skills, therapeutic communication, and experience working independently on night shifts.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to inpatient behavioral health patients
Perform patient assessments and medication administration
Monitor patient safety and respond to behavioral health crises
Collaborate with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications:

Active RN license
Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient psychiatric nursing experience required
BLS Certification required
Strong clinical judgment and crisis management skills
