Travel Histotechnologist – Histology Lab
Atlanta, GA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: Nights (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
On-Call: None
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Histotechnologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. This opportunity is within a busy Pathology Laboratory supporting surgical and diagnostic services.
Position Overview

Full-time, 40 hours per week
-
Monday–Friday night schedule
-
No on-call requirement
-
Minimum 2 years of recent histology experience required
Responsibilities
-
Receive and accession surgical specimens into Cerner
-
Collect blocks from Pathologist Assistant staff
-
Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy (cutting), and slide staining
-
Support Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows
-
Ensure accurate documentation and quality control in all laboratory procedures
Requirements
-
ASCP certification required (HT or HTL)

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pathology Laboratory

Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program OR
Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences -
Experience with Cerner preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on night shift
