Travel Histotechnologist – Histology Lab

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Histotechnologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. This opportunity is within a busy Pathology Laboratory supporting surgical and diagnostic services.

Position Overview

• Full-time, 40 hours per week

• Monday–Friday night schedule

• No on-call requirement

• Minimum 2 years of recent histology experience required

Responsibilities

• Receive and accession surgical specimens into Cerner

• Collect blocks from Pathologist Assistant staff

• Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy (cutting), and slide staining

• Support Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows

• Ensure accurate documentation and quality control in all laboratory procedures

Requirements

• ASCP certification required (HT or HTL)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pathology Laboratory

• Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program OR
  Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences

• Experience with Cerner preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on night shift
