Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
Location: Boston, MA

Assignment Start: 03/09/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days/Nights)
Primary Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekends: Every Other Weekend

Unit Overview:

The SICU is an 8-bed unit caring for a complex surgical population including transplant, hepatobiliary, and general surgery patients. This is a high-acuity environment requiring strong critical care skills and trauma experience.

Patient Ratios: 1:1 – 1:3

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill surgical patients

• Monitor and manage ventilators, drips, invasive lines, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring

• Collaborate closely with surgical, trauma, and critical care teams

• Perform thorough assessments and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition

• Accurately document patient care in EPIC

• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and evidence-based practice standards

Requirements:

• Current RN license (MA or compact if applicable)

• 2–3 years of related critical care experience required

• Must have SICU experience

• Must have Trauma / Level 1 Trauma experience

• BLS (AHA) required

• ACLS (AHA) required

• EPIC experience required
