Position Overview: 
The Endocrinology RN provides pre-operative, recovery, and post-procedural nursing care in an acute care endocrinology setting. This role supports patients throughout Phase I and Phase II recovery and collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

	Provide pre-operative and recovery nursing care
	
	</li><li>
	Manage Phase I and Phase II recovery patients
	
	</li><li>
	Insert and manage IVs
	
	</li><li>
	Monitor patients post-procedure and throughout recovery
	
	</li><li>
	Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
	
	</li><li>
	Deliver safe, patient-centered care in accordance with facility protocols
	
</li></ul>

Patient Ratios:

<ul>
	<li>
	Recovery: 2:1 when patient is awake
	
	</li><li>
	Approximately 10–12 patients per shift
	
</li></ul>

Qualifications:

<ul>
	<li>
	Active RN license (license required at submission)
	
	</li><li>
	Minimum of 2 years of Endocrinology or relevant acute care RN experience
	
	</li><li>
	BSN required
	
	</li><li>
	Strong pre-op and recovery experience required
	
</li></ul>

Required Certifications:

<ul>
	<li>
	BLS Certification
	
	</li><li>
	CGRN preferred but not required
	
</li></ul>

Charting System:
