Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Inpatient Behavioral Health
Location: Manchester, CT
Assignment Start: 03/09/2026
Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Midshift
Shift Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Schedule: 5x8s
On-Call: None

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for an acute inpatient behavioral health unit. This role requires strong clinical judgment, crisis intervention skills, and the ability to provide safe, therapeutic care in a structured psychiatric setting.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to acute psychiatric patients

Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor changes in condition

Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic response and side effects

Implement and support individualized treatment plans

Utilize de-escalation techniques and maintain patient/staff safety

Document care accurately and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Requirements:

Active CT RN License
-
Minimum 3 years of acute inpatient behavioral health experience

BLS certification required
-
Strong crisis management and communication skills
