Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity
Job Overview
- Maintain delivery of quality nursing care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
- Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and goals in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
- Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Requirements & Skills
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for certain roles).
- Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired.
