Occupational Therapist Position Overview
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ level of functioning based on physician orders.
- Plan and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning.
- Provide patient and family education, including adaptive equipment training.
- Complete all required documentation and maintain timely progress notes.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students.
- Assist with new staff orientation and supervise students or other staff members.
- Promote patient and employee safety, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good safety techniques for patients, self, others, and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Attend team conferences and contribute pertinent information.
- Manage time efficiently, set priorities, and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and document quality assurance efforts.

Required Qualifications
- Valid, current State Occupational Therapy license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
