Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehabilitation Hospital
Job Overview
- Deliver superior quality nursing care aligned with organizational core values.
- Prioritize patient and employee safety in all aspects of work.
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
- Develop individualized plans of care based on assessments.
- Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
- Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs.
- Use nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) focusing on patient/family education.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
- Seek consultation for complex clinical decisions.
- Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety per hospital policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and team building.
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
- Provide cost-effective care while promoting quality outcomes.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for certain units).
- Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired.
