Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity
Job Overview
- Maintain delivery of quality nursing care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
- Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning.
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
- Communicate patient status and changes effectively to support continuity of care and patient safety.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
- Monitor supplies and equipment needs, ensuring cost-effective care.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
- Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
- Seek consultation for complex clinical decision-making.
- Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and clinical training.
Required Skills & Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH positions).
- Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience highly desired.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
