Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36 hours per week, ASAP start
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
- Educate patients, families, and significant others to support health care needs and discharge planning starting from admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers, including physicians and charge nurses.
- Seek consultation from senior nursing staff for complex clinical decisions.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel; delegate appropriately.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety following hospital and nursing policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning by supporting staff, patients, and families.
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
- Provide cost-effective care while promoting quality patient outcomes.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
- Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience (post-graduate)
- Experience in Stepdown, ICU, or LTAC settings
