Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Maintain delivery of quality nursing care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating.
• Prioritize patient and employee safety, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
• Communicate patient status changes effectively to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain a positive, calm, and efficient work environment through teamwork and communication.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
• Identify and pursue professional growth opportunities through continuing education and self-study.
• Manage supplies and equipment to provide cost-effective care while promoting quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessments.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Participate in team conferences and provide timely patient information.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift for CIRH)
• Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience
