Registered Nurse - Level II (Stepdown/PCU Experience Required)

Job Summary

The Level II Registered Nurse provides competent care based on established standards through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and evidence-based practice. This role may include responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member under the direction of the Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Stepdown/PCU Experience: Must have stepdown or progressive care unit experience.
• Specialty Experience:

  • High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required.
  • Experience with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, and seizures.
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (New York state only).
  • BLS (American Heart Association).
  • ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Telemetry Experience: Required.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night).
• Includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge nurse duties per unit.
