Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Job Overview

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and set goals.
• Provide timely patient status updates during initial and weekly team conferences.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
• Educate patients and families to support health care needs and discharge planning starting from admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status effectively to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff following hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning through calm leadership and team-building efforts.
• Coordinate with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Prioritize and plan activities to optimize time and staff resources.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH positions).
• Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience required.

Contract Length

• Approximately 7 weeks (52 days rounded to nearest week).
