Description

Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Job Overview

  • Maintain delivery of quality nursing care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed.
  • Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
  • Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs.
  • Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
  • Identify patient teaching needs and goals in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
  • Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
  • Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
  • Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing support staff.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Maintain safety standards for patients and staff.
  • Document all nursing activities in compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.
  • Support a positive and efficient work environment.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Skills and Certifications

  • BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
  • ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift for CIRH positions)
  • Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience
