Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Overview

• Deliver superior quality nursing care aligned with organizational core values.
• Prioritize patient and employee safety through adherence to safety policies and proactive hazard reporting.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide timely patient status updates during initial and weekly team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission onward.
• Communicate changes in patient status effectively to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff following hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and team building.
• Manage supplies, equipment needs, and clinical training communication with management.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Prioritize and plan activities to optimize patient care and staff utilization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience post-graduation
• Experience in Stepdown, ICU, or LTAC settings

Additional Information

• The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
