Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Deliver superior quality nursing care following established care plans.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
- Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide timely patient status updates during initial and weekly team conferences.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
- Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.
Safety Focus
- Commitment to patient and employee safety as a top priority.
- Adherence to safety policies including safe patient handling, materials handling, infection control, and fall prevention.
- Promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards and reporting risks promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift for certain roles)
- Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience (highly desired)
