Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Job Opportunity

Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Deliver superior quality nursing care aligned with organizational core values.
  • Prioritize patient and employee safety in all aspects of care.
  • Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
  • Provide timely patient information for team conferences and document all assessments and interventions accurately.
  • Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
  • Implement nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a focus on patient/family education.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
  • Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding service needs, supplies, equipment, and training.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
  • Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
  • Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years bedside clinical experience (highly desired)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS Certification required prior to first shift
    • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for certain roles)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

  • Strong clinical nursing skills and competency in direct patient care.
  • Ability to supervise and delegate to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.
