- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift

Job Description
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction.
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
- Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities.
- Educate patients, families, students, and coworkers.
- Perform professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing, patient/family training, and planning for continuing services.
- Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently based on patient needs.
- Complete clear, concise, and timely medical record documentation, including daily notes, goal writing, quality assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry.
- Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
- Participate in student programs by providing supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations.
- Develop and pursue individualized professional development plans through continuing education and professional activities.
- Engage in patient and professional advocacy efforts such as health fairs, community events, and professional memberships.
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional licensure and complete all state-mandated continuing education.
- Uphold ethical standards and professional codes of conduct.
- Support organizational performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback to maximize outcomes.

- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with organizational mission and core values.
- Prioritize patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, materials handling, infectious disease precautions, and fall prevention.
- Follow hospital guidelines on personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Possess necessary skills and competencies to perform job functions according to population served criteria.
