Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract Opportunity
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Deliver superior quality nursing care following established nursing care plans.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide timely patient information for team conferences and document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
- Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.
Requirements
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years bedside clinical experience
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift (for certain roles)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
