Job Summary for Healthcare Recruiters and Workers

Position Overview

• Work in the Operating Room (OR) caring for a wide variety of patients.
• Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology (GYN), ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center).
• Exposure to advanced technology including 2 DaVinci surgical robots used across multiple services.
• Involvement in transplant cases including liver, kidney, and heart transplants.

Required Qualifications

• RN License: Must have a New York State RN license.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. Experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred.
• Skills: Must be able to scrub and circulate in the OR.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) – Required
  • ACLS – Preferred

Preferred Experience

• Specialty surgical cases such as transplants, plastics, and reconstructive surgery.
• Craniotomy experience.
• Strong orthopedic background.

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts including day, evening, and night.
• On-call and callback duties.
• Floating between units as needed.
• Work on holidays and weekends as required.
