Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Job Opportunity
Job Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Stepdown / LTACH / ICU unit
- Shift: 48-hour assignment
- Schedule Requirements: Ability to work every other weekend and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
- Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.
Required Skills and Certifications
- BLS certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift (if applicable)
- Stepdown, LTACH, or ICU experience is required
- Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience is highly desired

- Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience (highest requirement indicated)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
