Job Opportunity: Assistant Residential Manager (Rehab Setting)

Job Overview

The Assistant Residential Manager works alongside the Rehab Residential Manager to ensure high-quality care for patients in a Neuro Transitional Center. This role involves both administrative and clinical duties, including direct patient care and medical management coordination according to facility policies and treatment models.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with operational duties to ensure compliance with HHSC ALF Licensure, CARF, and other regulatory/accreditation standards.
• Manage medical documentation for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Conduct weekly MAR audits and verify medication administration records.
• Address patient direct care and PRN medical issues to maintain patient stability.
• Communicate with on-call staff, physicians, and nurses as needed, ensuring timely information sharing with the treatment team.
• Maintain up-to-date residential communication books.
• Oversee emergency drills, including tracking, completion, and documentation.
• Support clinical and regulatory compliance through orientation, training, supervision, and competency assessments of direct care staff.
• Participate in patient staffing, family conferences, admissions, and other relevant meetings.
• Investigate and resolve incident report issues as assigned.
• Manage medical supply inventory and quality.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support staff after hours and on weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license: Required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting: Required
• BLS certification prior to first shift: Required
