Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Opportunity

Job Overview

• Deliver superior quality nursing care aligned with organizational core values.
• Emphasize patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard awareness.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Provide timely patient status updates during team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and prioritize patient/family education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Required Skills and Certifications

• BLS certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
• PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience required.
• Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired.
• Completion of at least 1 assignment with current agency required.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Prior Travel Experience

• Completion of at least 1 prior assignment with current agency required (indicates prior travel experience required).

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with PCU experience who have completed at least one prior travel assignment and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
