Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Opportunity

Job Overview

• Deliver superior quality nursing care following established care plans.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and team building.
• Manage supplies and equipment to promote cost-effective care.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years bedside clinical experience (highly desired).
• Required Clinical Experience: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Step-Down unit experience.
• Experience with ventilators and critical drips is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

• Emphasis on patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infectious disease precautions, and workplace hazard awareness.
• Expected to follow hospital guidelines on personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
