Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Opportunity

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Deliver superior quality nursing care aligned with organizational core values.
• Prioritize patient and employee safety through adherence to safety policies and proactive hazard reporting.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate actively in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
• Implement nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with emphasis on patient/family education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel; delegate appropriately.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and team building.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years bedside clinical nursing experience.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required prior to first shift.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required prior to first shift (if applicable).
• Skills: Must have experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Additional Notes

• Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Emphasis on safety awareness in areas such as safe patient handling, infectious disease control, and fall prevention.
