Job Opportunity: Surgical Technician - Operating Room (OR)

Job Description

• Work in a Main Operating Room that handles a wide variety of patients.
• Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology (GYN), ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center).
• Use of 2 DaVinci robots shared across multiple services.
• Involvement with transplant programs including liver, kidney, and heart surgeries.

Requirements

• Certification:

  • NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) is required.
  • New York State Surgical Tech License is required.
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
  • Experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred.
  • Ability to scrub and circulate in the OR is required.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts with day, evening, and night rotating schedules.
• Option to accommodate 48 hours per week.
