Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)

Job Description

• Work in a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department within a Level 1 Trauma center.
• Care for inpatient and outpatient populations across all ages.
• Responsibilities include pre-procedural preparation, post-procedural recovery, and overnight observation care for IR patients.
• Provide care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRI, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound.
• Care for patients boarding overnight pre- or post-procedure.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team in a high-energy Diagnostic Imaging environment.
• Good communication skills and critical thinking ability are essential.
• Team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Medical/Surgical and telemetry experience preferred.
• Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, floating, holidays, weekends, on-call/callback, and charge per unit needs.

Requirements

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology Nursing
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years Registered IR Nursing experience
• Telemetry Experience: Required
• Licensure: New York RN license only
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association only)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association only)

Contract Length

• Options considered: 13 or 17 weeks

Additional Notes

• Experience with GI post-procedural care is preferred but not required.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
