Registered Nurse (Level II) - Stepdown/PCU Experience Required

Job Summary

The Level II Registered Nurse provides competent care based on established standards through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and evidence-based practice. This role may include responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member under the direction of the Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Specialty Experience:

  • Stepdown/PCU experience is required
  • High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Experience with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, seizures
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (New York state only)
  • BLS (American Heart Association only)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Schedule:

  • Rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night)
  • Includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge nurse duties
