Job Summary for Healthcare Recruiters and Workers

Position Overview

• Work in the Operating Room (OR) caring for a wide variety of patients.
• Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology (GYN), ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center).
• Use of 2 DaVinci surgical robots across multiple services.
• Involvement in transplant programs for livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Requirements

• Licensure: RN License (New York state license ONLY).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. Experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred.
• Skills: Must be able to scrub and circulate in the OR.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) – Required
  • ACLS – Preferred

Preferred Surgical Experience

• Specialty cases including transplants, plastics, reconstructive surgery.
• Craniotomy experience.
• Strong orthopedic background.

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night).
• On call/callback, floating, holidays, and weekends as needed by the unit.
