Job Summary for Healthcare Recruiters and Workers
Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify patient teaching needs and goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating.
- Educate patients, families, and significant others to achieve patient goals and quality outcomes.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
- Seek consultation from senior nursing staff for complex clinical decisions.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
- Contribute positively to unit functioning by providing calm leadership and reassurance.
- Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
- Provide cost-effective care while promoting quality patient outcomes.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
- Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years bedside clinical experience (highly desired)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only)
