Job Summary: Assistant Residential Manager (Rehab Setting)

Position Overview

• Assist the Residential Manager in ensuring high-quality care for patients in a Neuro Transitional Center.
• Support operational duties including administrative and clinical tasks.
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate medical management according to facility policies and treatment models.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards (HHSC ALF Licensure, CARF).
• Manage medical documentation, conduct medication administration record (MAR) audits, and input orders into the EHR.
• Address patient care and PRN medical issues to maintain patient stability.
• Communicate with on-call staff, physicians, and treatment teams regarding patient safety and health concerns.
• Oversee emergency drills and respond to emergency situations with proper documentation.
• Assist with clinical and regulatory compliance training, supervision, and competency assessments of direct care staff.
• Participate in patient staffing, family conferences, admissions, and other relevant meetings.
• Investigate and resolve incident report issues.
• Manage medical supply inventory and quality.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license: Required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to first shift: Required
