Schedule

• 4x10 hour shifts, Days
• Weekends, holidays, on-call/callback as needed
• On-call frequency: 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends per month

Required Experience and Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
• Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• New York State Technician License required
• AART certification required
• VIR (Vascular Interventional Radiology) certification is a plus

Job Responsibilities

• Select exposure factors and positioning to produce diagnostic quality radiologic images
• Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams
• Assist Radiologists during procedures
• Operate all x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems competently
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly
• Complete assigned procedures efficiently and assist with department tasks as needed
• Maintain medication security and patient confidentiality
• Provide healthcare services competently across all age groups
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities
• Handle technical telephone inquiries professionally
