Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Job Summary

• Provide high-quality nursing care by following individualized nursing care plans.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning starting from admission.
• Communicate patient status changes to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience (highly desired).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (for certain roles).
• Competency in nursing assessments, documentation, patient education, and care coordination.
• Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to nursing support staff.
• Commitment to patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling and infection control.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks.
