Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

Job Overview

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessments.
• Identify patient/family teaching needs and goals related to diagnoses.
• Provide timely patient information for team conferences and re-evaluations.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Educate patients, families, and significant others to achieve patient goals and quality outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Seek consultation from senior nursing staff for complex clinical decisions.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
• Provide cost-effective care while promoting quality patient outcomes.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
• Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.

Required Skills and Certifications

• BLS Certification: Required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification: Required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH).
• Epic Experience: Required.
• Minimum Clinical Experience: 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired.
