Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient/family teaching needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned units.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
• Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience highly desired.
• Certifications:

  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (specific to certain units).
• Supervisory Role: Responsible for supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.

Contract Length

• 52 weeks (1 year)
