Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience (highly desired)
  • Previous LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience required
  • Prior travel experience: Not specified (no explicit requirement)

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only)

Job Description Highlights

  • Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
  • Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide timely patient information for initial and weekly team conferences.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
  • Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
  • Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
  • Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.
