Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (PRN)

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Job Summary

  • Deliver quality nursing care by following individualized nursing care plans.
  • Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
  • Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals.
  • Provide timely patient information for team conferences and document all assessments and interventions accurately.
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning starting from admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
  • Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as requested.
  • Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
  • Prioritize activities and staff to meet patient needs effectively.

Required Skills and Certifications

  • BLS Certification (required before first shift)
  • ACLS Certification (required before first shift for CIRH only)
  • Previous LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience (required)
  • Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience (highly desired)
  • Prior experience working for the organization (highly desired)

Specialty Experience

  • Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience required (higher value from description)

Prior Travel Experience
