Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Outpatient)

Job Description

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities.
• Educate patients, families, students, and coworkers.
• Perform professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program delivery.
• Maintain compliance with organizational Code of Conduct, confidentiality, and professional standards.
• Promote patient and employee safety, focusing on safe patient handling, materials handling, infectious diseases, slips/trips/falls, and work environment.
• Follow clinic guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment plans aimed at progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
• Document medical records clearly, accurately, and timely, including goal writing, quality assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations.
• Create and pursue individualized professional development plans.
• Adhere to State Practice Act, maintain licensure, and complete continuing education.
• Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license for the work location.
• Prior successful assignments with the agency or organization are highly desired but not required.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

This position is suitable for outpatient physical therapists with at least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience and the required licensure and certifications. Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
