Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Job Summary
- Provide high-quality nursing care by following individualized nursing care plans.
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
- Participate actively in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care.
- May assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Work Schedule
- 48 hours per week
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays
Required Skills and Certifications
- BLS certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only)
- Stepdown, LTACH, or ICU experience is required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience is highly desired
- Stepdown/LTACH/ICU experience is required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Additional Information
- Emphasis on patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard awareness.
- Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
- Provides direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Expected to contribute positively to team dynamics and unit functioning.
